To the BFA post-grad living at home.
You are doing okay.
To the BFA post-grad who hasn’t booked anything since graduation.
You are doing okay.
To the BFA post-grad who actually didn’t finish school.
You are doing okay.
You are being taken care of in ways you may not see right now.
Your successes and bookings right now do not equate to your humanly value.
You are not a failure.
Ephesians 2:10 says that “we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God has prepared beforehand, so that [you] should walk in them.”
Letting go of your plans and allowing Jesus to take the lead is hard.
And yet, you have plans and purposes that are being prepped beforehand for you to just walk in.
Not to begrudge for. Not to sweat over. Just walk in.
That is the kind of God we serve.
The God that cares. The God that intentionally plans our purposes. The God that holds our hand as we walk. The walk may be scary or unknown, but He is still there.
Amidst anxiety and unbelief, He is still walking alongside by side (by side).
It is okay if you don’t remember every song in your book right now.
It is okay if you forgot your “go-to” monologue.
It is okay if you hate or have outgrown your “go-to” monologue.
It is okay if you haven’t booked something within the last 3 months or the last 3 years.
It is okay if you aren’t as nimble as you were in college.
It is okay if your voice isn’t as agile as it was in college.
It is okay if you’ve outgrown acting styles or techniques.
It is okay if you don’t feel the same as you used to about your craft.
It is okay to walk in a new season that doesn’t revolve around the theatre.
It is okay to just walk with God.
It is more than okay to just walk with God.
